At Milan Design Week, a distinct hum of nostalgia met the gleam of contemporary imagination. The air was thick with velvet, brass, and a quiet reverence for sculptural form. From the poetic corridors of Nilufar Depot to the curated intimacy of Dimorestudio, a renaissance was underway — one that celebrated the sensuality of Italian retro glamour through the lens of modern restraint.
For us at Iqrup + Ritz, this resurgence of the 1960s and ’70s spirit felt deeply familiar — a conversation between eras, where design history folds seamlessly into the now. Co-founder Ritika Dhamija, who attended Nilufar Depot and EDIT by designjunction, noted this revival as “a glamorous dialogue of the past, present, and future.” The fair was an affirmation of what we hold dear — interiors that speak in curves, textures that tell stories, and materials that bridge nostalgia with newness.

As the lights dimmed over Milan, one truth shimmered through: design, much like memory, is cyclical — and in its most elegant revivals, we find both heritage and reinvention.
