In GQ Magazine’s August 2020 feature, “Ready to Launch”, design was celebrated as a constant dialogue between past and present, collaboration and reinvention. Among the highlights was our Makrana Console—a piece that speaks not only of craftsmanship, but of history, art, and enduring elegance.
Described by GQ as “a serious dose in history with its European-style architectural pillars”, the Makrana Console is inspired by the extraordinary reproductions in the plaster courts of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Each detail is a quiet homage to centuries of artistry, translated into marble with a purity that feels both timeless and contemporary.
Carved in white marble, the console stands as a sculptural statement—refined yet commanding, a piece that elevates a space with poise and gravitas. Its presence is less about ornament and more about resonance: a reminder that design can bridge epochs, carrying echoes of the past into the homes of today.
To be spotlighted in GQ’s exploration of collaborations and one-of-a-kind creations is a recognition of what we hold most dearly: that design, at its best, tells stories that outlast trends—becoming future classics of their own.
